“Vail Colorado Rocky Mountain High"
Experience the soft breeze on your face and listen to the calming
swish from the skis!
At an height of 8,150 feet (11,570 on the summit), Vail
Colorado resides in the core of The Rocky Mountains in Colorado,
receives about 340 inches of snowfall each season and even features
some of the best skiing that is found anywhere in North America.
A hundred miles west of Denver and thirty five miles due east of
Eagle, this kind of impressive winter season playground –
one of the nations most marvelous resorts – has been a choice
leisure spot for countless celebrities and the homestead of past
President Gerald Ford.
The wintertime season formally gets started in November in Vail

A bit of background knowledge: Vail
got it's name from the Colorado highway engineer Charlie Vail,
who built up the first main highway running through that area. The
mountain was “introduced in the globe” around the mid-’50s
by tenth Mountain Division trooper Pete Seibert and rancher Earl
Eaton, who climbed up to the highest point, scanned below, and realized
the capabilities for slopes to ski on. In 1962, the USA Forest Service
provided each gentlemen a last licence, and Vail officially was
established in Dec 1962.
